Marked "The Darkroom Paragon Lamp" is Embossed on the factory installed Match Striker Plate.
This is a Fascinating Operational Photographer's Darkroom Lamp : You first lift the Red Glass at the Match Striker side to Align the Back Door Thumbwheel Shaft onto the Burner's square keyed shaft to adjust the Wick Height. Then you strike the match on the striker plate and light the wick. Then you close the glass and adjust the wick height with the back door's thumbwheel. When you are finished using it you can turn the wick down to extinguish it, or open the top Crown Flue Cap and blow down into it.Before you slide open the metal door you must pull out the thumbwheel shaft again.
Restoration : 2 wavy Replacement Red Glasses, and the Oil Tank Reservoir has been Chemically Sealed and Guaranteed Not to Leak. Hand Painted with safe Black Acrylic. Included are 2 extra clear glass panes which were found in this lantern in case you want to burn it to have more light in the room. Currently missing a tension-fit brass filler cap.
Measures 10 1/4 inches High, and the sides are basically 6 by 6 by 6 inches Wide.
