"Paull's Leader No. 0" Lantern with a Very Nice Green Enamel Paint !
The "Paull's No. 0" Lantern with Correct Globe on an Old Green Re-Paint. Original Black Plastic filler Cap with paper gasket. Produced Pre-1946 Lantern.
Patent dates Embossed on top of Crown reads as follows : July 29th,1890, and June 30th,1903. Paull's Wheeling,WV.(aka Nail City Lantern Co.& Wheeling Stamping Co.) Produced Lanterns from 1897 up to 1946 before being bought out by Dietz.
Paull's 1936 catalog has the No. 0 Listed as a No. 140. (Collectable Lanterns, Printed by L-W Book Sales, Page 83) The "Leader" Models were stamped so, but this Model was only marked No. 0
Nice Medium sized Lantern stands 13 1/2 inches from base to top of Tube, and 19 1/2 inches overall from base to top of Wire bail handle. 7 1/2 inches Wide at base of tubes. Base diameter is a stable 6 3/4 inches.
Weighs 2 Pounds and 1.3 Ounces.
Condition : Solid Metal, with normal wear in all the right places, with only a couple of minor dings and paint chips.
