Rare 2/3 Scale Salesman Sample Cane/Swag with Deer Antler Grip Handle, a well aged & tarnished "Sterling" Silver marked Ferrule.
The wood shaft is a Very Straight Grain wood. Probably Teak or Rosewood with a subtle brown background & Fine Black wood grain Lines.
The original bottom Metal Tip is Tight with the one hole for the nail to secure it to the wood shaft but the nail's head is missing.
A Categorical Salesman's Sample Cane with all original hardware. Shows No Wear Pattern which typically would be on a child's type of cane over 24 inches long.
I believe the Stag Antler Grip Handle is a Synthetic. This is due to the sharp "L" configuration & strength needed for a cane handle, and the clues are the lack of any natural hollow central marrow at the exposed end, or any cracks from drying out.
Measures Overall only 23 inches Long ! A Normal Child's Cane would start at 24 inches in Length and have a pretty well advanced wear pattern for it's age.
Tapered Shaft Width is 1/2 inch in diameter at top and narrows down to only 3/8 of an inch at the bottom.
Weighs 2.7 Ounces.
Overall Condition is Excellent, with No Wear pattern on handle grip top or bottom metal tip from use.
