Notice all the 44 Star Flags (1890 to 1896) in the window and the Dirt Street with the Trolley Tracks in front of Store !
I counted 49 or 50 GAR Veterans and 2 Sons of Veterans with Hats.
# 106 Graham Post only had 32 members left in 1908 and would meet 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. (1908 Commander C.G.Bair) # 595 M.Edgar Richards Post only had 45 members left in 1908 and would meet 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. (1908 Commander Wm. H. Large of 249 1/2 Beach Street)
(This store was established in 1885 with it's 3 addresses 256 & 258 & 260 in Pottstown,Pa. and was one of the early predecessors to the "Pomeroys" chain of stores in Pennsylvania)
