Tunbridge Ware Lace Sewing Implement, Stickware Type, c.1840Tunbridge Ware Lace Sewing Implement, Stickware Type, c.1840Tunbridge Ware Lace Sewing Implement, Stickware Type, c.1840

Rare and exquisite Tunbridge Ware sewing implement, stickware type, described by the seller to me as a pattern pricker for making lace. I’m not sure what a pattern pricker is, but then I don’t know anything about making lace. Whatever its precise function, it is a beautiful item in every respect.

The top of the implement unscrews to reveal a very sharp needle. There is an ivory cuff or collar where the screw top meets the implement itself. When closed, the piece measures 2.8”.

The condition is perfect.

Thanks for visiting.
