Handsome burl walnut Victorian desk stand with a double inkstand, a five-section stationery rack behind swing doors, a sturdy brass carrying handle, and two dished pen trays. The beautiful cut glass inkwells are large and heavy, measuring 2.3" square at the base and standing 3.9" high. They are not identical, but fit perfectly in the recesses and look good on the stand. There is a brass lock escutcheon and brass lock, but no key. The desk stand, not including the inkwells measures 13.0" wide by 7.8" deep, and, without the inkwells or handle, is 4.3" high.
The piece is in exceptional condition, with no damage to the burl walnut or the glass.
