This is a Chinese Peking art glass miniature. The color is a pale green or blue, almost opalescent. The date is circa 1890.
The miniature vase or cup comes on a small stand. However, the stand is deteriorating with age. The stand is still usable, but the value of this listing is for the glass, not the bit of wood underneath it.
The miniature is 1 5/8” high and 2 3/8” wide at the mouth.
It was difficult to photograph the color. In some photos the color appears white. However, the color is a pale green or pale blue, verging on opalescent. This is an unusual type of glass for Peking glass.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. There is a spot of discoloration under the rim.
The word China is etched into the bottom.
I have other Peking glass in my shop from the same estate, that was all produced in the same time period.
