This is a Chinese Peking pink art glass bowl. The outside of the bowl is carved in the same pink glass, with raised cameo patterns. The date is circa 1890 to 1910.
The bowl is 2 5/8” high and 6 1/8” wide at the top.
The carving on the outside shows four birds perched on branches. There are lotus flowers and leaves on long stems.
You can see your fingers through the glass, where the glass is not layered with the cameo designs.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. There are air bubbles in the glass.
The bottom shows wear and scratches due to age. The word “China” is sometimes etched into the glass on the bottom, but not always, and I don’t see it on this piece.
I have other Peking glass in my shop.
