This is a Bohemian art glass stick or bud vase. The glass is pale ruby or cranberry with a satin finish. The date is circa 1890.
The vase is 8 ¼” high and 4 ½” wide at the belly.
The glass has a layer of clear glass, most noticeable when looking at the rim.
The belly of the vase is hand enameled in white and shows a flying bird among leaves and blossoms. There are bands of white enamel at the top and bottom of the vase.
The rim is polished flat. The bottom is slightly indented and smooth.
The rim has a few pinprick nibbles, too tiny to see in the photos. The neck of the vase has folds in the glass, which I show in a close-up photo. The glass has air bubbles.
The number 2 is hand enameled on the bottom underside.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. The bottom shows age wear.
