This is a French white opaline art glass scent perfume bottle (or cologne). The date is circa 1890.
The bottle is 4 1/8” high to the top of the stopper, 3 ¼” high to the rim and 3 ½” wide at the belly.
On the front of the bottle is the scene of a female, reclining in a garden, with a dog in her lap. There are gold highlights on the painting. It is painted entirely in shades of purple.
There is gold trim around the bottom, the neck, the underside of the rim and the stopper. There is wear to the gold on top of the stopper due to handling over the years.
The bottom is indented slightly and smooth.
There is the number 5 hand enameled inside the neck of the bottle and again on the end of the stopper.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks.
