This is a small English white opal art glass lay down scent perfume bottle (or cologne) with blue coralene beading. The date is circa 1895.
The bottle is 2 1/8” high and 1 ¾” wide.
The glass is decorated with tiny blue coralene beads. The designs are ones of flowers and leaves. There are some beads missing due to age wear, but not too many. There is a discoloration in one small area that I did not attempt to clean.
The sterling top is hallmarked and it screws onto the glass neck. There is a piece of broken cork inside the lid that protects the glass of the neck from the metal.
There are no nicks, chips or cracks. If there was ever a stopper inside the neck, usually it is a tiny clear crystal stopper, it no longer exists. I have no way of knowing if this perfume bottle ever had such a stopper as the lid may have been deemed sufficient by the maker.
