This is a French Haviland & Co Limoges hard paste porcelain teapot, dating to circa 1894 to 1931.
The teapot is 3” high and 9” from spout-to-handle.
The shape is round and squat, with a wide handle and finial and a short stubby spout. The border pattern is a dark blue or purple of scrolls, curlicues and small reddish flower. Underneath the border pattern are individual sprays of small pink roses with pale green leaves.
The handle and finial are trimmed in gold. The spout has a design of gold lines. Gold trims the edges.
There are no chips, cracks, nicks or crazing.
The green underglaze factory mark is Haviland France. The red overglaze factory decorating mark is Haviland & Co Limoges.
