This is a Bohemian small art glass scent perfume bottle (or cologne) that is a chatelaine, which is a type of bottle that has a chain that can be attached to a necklace to wear around the neck, or dangle from a purse clasp, or used however the females of that age saw fit. The glass is rubena, or rubina. The date is circa 1880.
The bottle is 3 ¼” by 1 ½”. The clear glass dauber/stopper is missing.
The glass is clear at the bottom and shades to a pale ruby red and a darker ruby red, or cranberry, at the top.
There is a brass metal cap and chain.
The hand enameling is in excellent condition. The front shows a daisy in white enamel with stems and leaves. The back has two sprays of smaller flowers with yellow enamel centers.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. There is some patina on the metal.
