This is a Japanese Nippon hard paste porcelain scent perfume bottle, or cologne, imported into the United States circa 1910.
The bottle is 4 ½” high to the top of the stopper and 4” wide at the belly.
Around the belly there is raised gold detail and again on the stopper, with clusters of tiny hand painted pink roses.
The bottom of the stopper has some masking tape wound around it to keep the stopper firmly in place.
There is a little bit of wear to the gold due to age and handling.
The Nippon is the Wreath with a M inside, with Hand Painted above and Nippon below. This is an authentic Nippon mark. The M is the import/export mark for the company that imported the bowl into the United States.
There are no chips, nicks, cracks or crazing.
