This is a hard paste porcelain miniature, in the form of a vase, produced as art porcelain by the Rudolstadt factory in Thuringia, Germany, and imported into the United States by Straus and Sons. The date is circa 1926 to 1930.
The miniature is 3 ½” high and 2 5/8” wide.
The miniatures were created as pieces of art porcelain and hand painted by the factory artists with the profiles of historical figures. This piece shows Marie Antoinette.

Marie Antoinette is painted wearing a wig and an ornate feather hat.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. The bottom is bisque, or unglazed, and shows a lot of estate dirt.
The import mark is a circle with the words Made In Germany.
The factory mark is a scepter with the words Royal Schwarzburg.
Marie Antoinette’s name is hand written in red.
