This is a Bohemian Czech art glass box made in a green glass to emulate the stone jade. The date is circa 1945.
The box is 3 1/8" high and 3 ¾" wide.
The box is made from a mold with a pressed decoration on the lid; the decoration appears to be tulips, berries and leaves.
The function of the box originally was to hold a face cream.
There are some areas of roughness around the edges and under the lid, tiny fleabites that don't show in a photograph, but they are there. There are no chips or cracks.
