No, this art glass pill box is not Bohemian, it is French. The date is the late 19th century, circa 1890. The pill box comes from an estate linked to the Oregon wine industry, along with another pill box, and the estate says emphatically that the pill box is French.
The pill box is 1" high and 1 5/8" wide at the bottom. The box is hinged and the fastening is tight.
The glass is cranberry or a pale ruby red. The top is enameled in gold designs.
The bottom has a round pontil, slightly indented, and polished smooth.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. There is a modest amount of age wear to the gold enameling.
