This is a pair of Bohemian art glass vases dating to the Art Nouveau period, from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, circa 1890 to 1910.
The glass is clear and frosted and it is very light. The vases are 11 ¾" high and 4 ¼" wide at the bottom. The shape is tall and slender. The rim is polished flat with no beveling. The pontil is smooth and slightly indented.
Water lilies are hand enameled on the front of each vase in shades of purple and white. The lilies shoot up the vase, with their leaves below and the roots trailing off to one side. The art work is executed brilliantly.
The purple of the water lilies tints the glass on the lower part of each vase a slight purple or lavender.
There is gold trim around the rim and base that shows some wear due to age.
There are no nicks, chips or cracks.
