This is a French Limoges hard paste porcelain centerpiece bowl resting on three feet. The maker is Blakeman & Henderson. The Limoges artist, Baumy, worked for Blakeman & Henderson. You can view more hand painted work by the artist in Mary Frank Gaston's book "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain Third Edition" on pages 59, 63 and 64.
The bowl is 3 ¼" high and 8 5/8" wide.
The artist painted large red and yellow tulips with wavy green leaves, outlined in gold, on the inside of the bowl. The outside of the bowl has three additional tulips. The artist's signature is in gold underneath a tulip on the inside of the bowl.
The rim is slightly scalloped with gold trim. There is some wear to the gold trim. The feet are trimmed in gold with wear to the gold on the underside of the feet. There is only a tiny bit of wear to the gold inside the bowl. There are no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing.
The green maker's mark is Blakeman & Henderson followed by Limoges – France.
