This is an antique French postcard or "carte postal" showing a black and white photo of the "Manufacture Nationale Sevres," the building where Sevres manufactured and decorated their porcelain near Paris. The card shows a cancellation date of December 15, 1898. Both green postal stamps have heavy cancellation marks over the stamps.
The postcard is 5 ½" by 3 ½" and inside a plastic protector. I took all of the photos of the postcard inside of the protective plastic sleeve.
The sender wrote a few comments on the front of the card in French, remarking on the architecture of the building. The recipient of the card is a Mademoiselle Rousseau in Belgium.
The card shows smudges of dirt due to age and some yellowing of the paper. There are no rips, tears or folds in the postcard.
