This is a Sarreguemines pottery or faience, a type of soft paste porcelain, invalid feeder. The date is circa 1875 to 1900.
The invalid feeder is 6 3/8” long, 2 5/8” wide and 2 3/4"” high to the top of the handle.
The top has a raised pattern in the blank of a flower with leaves and there are ridges on the sides.
The color of the glaze is an off-white.
There are no nicks, chips or cracks, other than what I note, and because the composition is pottery there is crazing. There are some small bumps and pits in the glaze. The top edge of the hole, below the flower and leaves, is rough to the touch, and there may be nicks and chips due to age and use; I show a photo.
The printed black mark is a coat of arms with a crown above and the words Opaque de Sarreguemines.
