This is a pair of American hand blown art glass vases. The date is circa 1900. The maker is unknown.
There is an interior white glass. The middle is blue over the white with blobs and streaks of brown and red colors. The exterior glass is clear.
The vases are 7” high and about 7 ½” wide at the belly. An interesting note is that the vases are heavy, and of different weights. Though a pair, one vase is a bit over 4 pounds and the other vase is a bit under 5 pounds.
The pontil on each vase is round, indented and polished. The pontil on one is left with some rough scarring.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks. There are numerous air bubbles, small to large. The interior glass has a few fold lines, which can be felt as raised lines in the glass. The bottom does not show much shelf wear.
