This is a Bohemian Czech art glass vase. The maker is Harrach. The date is circa 1880.

The vase is 12 ½” high and 4 ¾” wide at the upper belly below the neck.

During this time period Harrach produced white opaline glass vases with incredible brilliance and clarity, on the same level as the white opaline glass produced by Baccarat and other French glassmakers.

The vase is decorated with a flying butterfly hovering near long stemmed flowers. The stems are painted gold and show aging wear. There are blue flowers and pink flowers painted in raised enamel. There is blue beading around the neck and around the foot. The tear drop blue beading at the top of the neck shows some age wear. There is gold trim around the rim, neck, above the foot, on top of the foot and around the foot edge. There is some age wear to the gold trim.

There are no chips, nicks or cracks.

The mouth rim is polished flat. The bottom inside of the foot is hollow.
