This is a set of five Italian Ginori hard paste porcelain shallow bowls with an open tab on each end, intended for berries or ice cream or dessert. The date is circa 1900.
Each bowl is signed by the artist, A. Carli, who decorated dishes for Ginori, and mostly in this apple blossom pattern.
The bowls are 5 ½” long, 4 ¾” wide and 1” high.
The decoration is one of pink and white apple blossoms with yellow and green middles. There are green leaves. The ground is shaded from cream-to-green-to pink. The edges are trimmed in gold.
There is some age wear to the gold trim with spots of missing gold. There are no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing.
Each dish is marked on the underside. There is the red enamel number for the pattern of 0-146. There is the red mark of Ginori Italy with the crown emblem above. There is the blue mark of Hand Painted inside blue lines. There is a green mark with a black oval containing the words Decorazione Eseguit a Da Richard Ginori.
