This is a set of French Limoges hard paste porcelain (fine china) salad or dessert plates. The maker is Coiffe. The date is circa 1891 to 1914.
The plates are 7”. The blank is quite pretty with porcelain detail around the rims.
The plates are artist decorated outside of the factory, but not signed by the artist or studio. The decorating theme is one of blackberries with thorny vines and blackberry flowers; each hand painted spray may not have blackberries, but there will be the vines, leaves or flowers of the blackberry plant. The shading is red, more of a dark burnt red color and shading to a salmon pink.
I have other Limoges serving dishes listed to my shop painted by this same studio or artist with the red and the blackberries. Just do a search within my shop for “blackberries.” These are nice dishes and would look good on a holiday table during the Christmas season, or at any time of the year.
There are no chips, nicks, cracks or crazing.
The green underglaze mark is Limoges inside the star with France below.
