This is a Bohemian Czech art glass vase. The glass is opaque, a dark purple amethyst. The date is circa 1900.
The vase is 10 ¼” high and 4 ¾” wide at the bottom.
The purple of the glass is so dark it almost looks black in the photos. However if you look at the photos that show the interior of the vase, you will how the glass is purple all the way through. What is unusual is that the color is glossy on the outside, but more matte on the inside.
There is a hand enameled decoration on the glass, of raised lines and beads in gold enamel, and three applied small flowers. The rim is trimmed in gold, and there are two wide bands of gold lower down. The gold on the rim is mostly worn away due to age, and the other two wide bands show some wear.
The bottom is smooth. The estate has felt pads on the bottom of the vase, so the bottom doesn’t show age wear. The rim is slightly rounded.
There are no chips, nicks or cracks.
