This is a Bohemian Czech art glass box. The glass is blue. The date is circa 1890.
The box is 3 3/4” high and 4” wide.
The metal is brass or bronze. The box is inserted into a paw footed metal stand. There is metal on the top and bottom edges. The top snaps into the bottom. There is a 19th century hinge on the back. There is age patina on the metal.
The hand enameled decoration is done in raised gold and white enamels. The decoration looks like fancy scrolls with embellishments. There is some age wear to the decoration.
The glass is slightly indented on the bottom and smooth.
There are no nicks, chips or cracks. There are a few air bubbles. There is one slight fold line in the glass on the bottom where the box was inserted into the metal stand.
