Early Vintage C1931 Fine Pottery 6 person Coffee Set by Woods and Sons Staffordshire England in an original fitted presentation box along with a set of 6 Silver hallmarked `Berry' spoons so called because each one has a decorative 'coffee nut' style final but happens also to look more like a berry. The decorative pattern on the Coffee Cans and saucers is called `Powder Blue'. It is a medium dark blue `soufflé' ground [ speckled with tiny splashes of colour by applying with, traditionally, a `blow pipe' ] covered with parallel lines of small arched repetitive gilt scales [ like fish or oriental dragon scales ].
