This wonderful and gorgeous Antique, deep rich cobalt, `Flow Blue', `'Watteau'' pattern circular Tureen, was made by `New Wharf Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire, c1878-94. See the photos...also ref. Godden's Encyclopedia of British pottery and Porcelain Marks, p467, item 2883. It is made of a strong body of Ironstone and has a very shinny high durable glaze.
Sizes. The circular base is 10, ¼" diameter and stands 2, 3/8" high. With its matching lid of 8, 9/16" diameter it stands 6, 1/8" high.
Weighs. 3lbs 2.2ozs.
Condition. Excellent. Still like as when it was new !
