A fantastic piece of bohemian porcelain, this vase stands approximately 6 1/2". This is a rural scene that is not nearly as common as the floral patterns one usually sees. The colors are fantastic with dark chocolate browns and greens with a orange sunset in the background! Alas, this beautiful piece was chipped (see photos) under the rim of the vase and was colored in to help hid the flaw. Also some paint has flecked off! This low price of course reflects those little flaws. The painting itself is superb! Sheen is wonderful and the scene has such great detail that is displays beautifully! Robert Hanke Pottery was the first factories in the Teplice area. Bohemia at that time was part of Austria and made porcelain there from 1882 to 1945.
