Antique Copeland Late Spode pitcher in the Dancing Maidens pattern. Cobalt blue gloss glaze with crisp white semi nude maidens dancing in a decidedly Art Nouveau design complete with flowers and swags around the 'neck' of the piece.
Marked with the Copeland Late Spode Reg.No.180288 used from 1887-1894 with the inclusion of the word "England" in 1890 (per American conditions of trade) dating this piece to being made between 1890-1894. An amazing piece for being 120 years old! Also has the impressed 'COPELAND' mark twice and a pattern number of 18.
The only condition issue with the little lovely is a repaired handle (see photo) and a hairline crack in the base. Obviously spent most of its years in a cabinet as the shine is fantastic!
A wonderful piece of Jasperware fit for any English Pottery , Stroke-on-Trent Staffordshire England collection.
