1936 Coronation by Oneida Community Plate vintage silverplate flatware. One 5 piece place setting of the rare 1970's version of this pattern in mint unused condition! This is a highly collectible pierced pattern introduced by Oneida Community in 1936 and you can see the Art Deco influence in the design of the handles. There are ridges running down the length of each handle which end at a pierced floral section just before the smooth, squared off end. The leafy scroll and flower design matches the design on the corresponding china and holloware pieces which were made to match!
Each place setting (5 pieces) consists of the following:
1 Dinner Knife 9" with Serrated Stainless Blade
1 Dinner Fork 7-1/2"
1 Salad Fork 6-5/8" with the Rare Diamond Cut Out
1 Oval Soup 7-1/4"
1 Teaspoon 6-1/8"
All pieces are marked "Community" on the back except the dinner knife which is unmarked.
If condition is important to you or if you are a collector, you won't find them better anywhere else! These are unused! No Monograms. The pieces are super shiny and clean with no dullness of the finish and no plate wear. Gently hand polished, hand washed and dried and then wrapped in acid free tissue.
I also have the grille/viande style dinner set and a traditional style dinner set available separately in my shop.
Price is per 5 piece place setting. Multiple place settings available!
