10-1/4" pierced pie or cake server in the beautiful vintage Coronation silverplate flatware pattern. This is a highly collectible pierced pattern introduced by Oneida Community in 1936 and you can see the Art Deco influence in the design of the handles. There are ridges running down the length of each handle which end at a pierced floral section just before the smooth, squared off end.
CONDITION: Very Good with some usage marks. Gently hand polished, hand washed & dried.

HISTORY OF THE PATTERN:
The Coronation pattern was introduced to commemorate the crowning of King Edward VIII in England (which never did happen). The flatware was also marketed in Canada and Great Britain, where it is known by the name Hampton Court.
