Fantastic vintage 1950's table lamp! The base is made of a ceramic material and is made to look like a real gnarled wood tree. It is a beautiful brown with a glossy finish. I believe the shade is made of fiberglass or parchment; it is a deep tan color with brown lacing around the top and bottom edge. It has a long, narrow shape.
Lamp measures 16" tall from base to top of finial on the shade. Ceramic base section alone measures about 12" x 4-1/2" x 6-3/4" tall.
Shade measures 18" wide x 7-7/8" x 8-1/4" tall.
I noticed when first taking photos that the shade holder is slightly cocked and made the shade slightly cocked as well. I put a small piece of cardboard under the ring (that sits on the top of the shade holder) on the shade on one side and it did a pretty good job of making the shade look more even. Some of my photos may have been taken before I did this so you will see what I mean.
This lamp is in EXCELLENT working condition. It still has its original cord but I don't see anything wrong with it other than a slight stiffness and some discoloration. The base has no chipping at all. It has been very well kept. The shade has a small stain on one side but you could put this side to the back and it won't be noticed at all. A few of the brown laces have some rub wear along the top but very minor. Overall this is a wonderful vintage lamp!
