These beautiful plates were made by Taylor Smith and Taylor (TS&T) in the late 1930's. The shape is called Garland and the pattern is called Blue Castle. The plates have an ivory background color with a lovely blue castle scene in the center and an embossed leaf garland border. The outside edge is scalloped. They measure 9-1/8" wide which can be either a smaller dinner plate or a luncheon plate, very versatile. The plates are marked on the back with the Taylor Smith and Taylor U.S.A. logo.
These plates are in overall excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are several with some crazing which does not detract from their appearance. One has a couple of small areas of discoloration near the outside of the service area as shown, very minor. All plates are nice and shiny with hardly any utensil marks. They have obviously not been used much at all. They are just beautiful!
