Antique Art Nouveau 14K Gold Peridot and Pearl Necklace. Circa 1900, this delicately fashioned festoon necklace exudes all that is Art Nouveau.
The sinuous triangular base of 14 karat bloomed gold features a bezel set light green peridot, two small button pearls, and a long dangling dog-tooth natural river pearl. On each side, a chain swag holds a pearl dangle. The fine cable link chain is host to four additional natural pearls.
The necklace is 18-1/4 inches long and the pendant hangs an additional 1-3/8 inches from that. The river pearl dangle alone is ¾ of an inch long.
This exquisite necklace is in excellent condition and wears beautifully. It is unmarked but has been tested and is guaranteed to be 14K gold. It is very likely that it was manufactured by Krementz & Co. of Newark, New Jersey. Krementz used this identical triangular base in several brooch and necklace manifestations.
