Westmoreland Glass Company: English Hobnail (1928 - 1950) master candy with flashed cranberry color and gold trim on finial and foot. 11 1/2 inches high, 3 1/4 inches square at the foot, and 4 3/8 inches diameter at the open part of the candy. This piece is featured in Mauzy's Depression Glass Book in this flashed color as "RARE".
We have 2 available for sale. LISTED PRICE IS FOR THE ONE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE SECOND ONE SHOWN HAS A SLIGHT NICK ON THE OPENING of the candy as shown in photo. THE SEPARATE PRICE OF THE ONE WITH THE NICK IS ONLY $195, WHILE THE PRICE LISTED IS ONLY FOR THE ONE WITHOUT A NICK AT $295. There is some wear to the gold trim on the foot for both. There is a piece of what appears to be the original stick left on the bottom of each, but unfortunately they don't appear to be legible. These candy dishes are in excellent condition. It would be a shamed to split these up. They were found together and are beautiful as a pair.
