Circa 1940's this vase is part of the Tiffin Modern line but without the optic. The color is most probably Crystal with the deep carved daffodils or similar flowers with long stems & leaves all tinted light blue in a 3-D sand carved affect surrounding the vase. The vase is signed close to the base by "Franz Grasz" in-between the leaves. From what I can see and read Franz was well known for tinting his carvings to give them more depth and color. This Tiffin vase is considered a Dorothy Thorpe sand carved piece and not etched by Tiffin. The vase is 13-1/4" (H), 7-3/8" (W) at the polished rim and 5" (W) at the foot. The condition is excellent without chips, cracks, internal staining and practically no wear.
