Circa 1934 - 1935 this magnificent cutting , Shooting Stars, was done early and for a very short window of time by Fostoria. It fits so well into mid-century styles that are so highly collectible today. The cutting features a shooting star with rays flowing off of it as it hurtles through the sky. The set consists of a Crystal footed #6011 decanter & Crystal faceted stopper. In my opinion this is by far the most elegant Fostoria decanter. It stands 8-1/2" (H), 1-1/2" (W) at the rim & 3-5/8" (W) at the round foot. It probably holds the typical 28 ounces. The small Whiskeys are 3" (H) and shammed. They are 1-3/8" (W) at both the rim & foot. The Whiskeys have the same shooting star decoration as the decanter. Condition of all pieces is excellent - no chips or cracks and only the faintest haze in the decanter which could be due to Houston humidity.
