Fostoria's Palm Brocade patterns were made from 1928 to 1931. Extremely RARE - This plate is not listed in ANY Fostoria books in our library (and we have plenty!). The reference books we have don't list any dinner plates in Palm Brocade, AND they don't list ANY pieces in clear crystal for Palm Brocade either! Consulted with experts that have confirmed this plate is indeed authentic and identified as titled above. The plate measures 10.5 inches in diameter. It's in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratches - like it was never used. The plates are clear glass with shaded areas resulting from the Brocade process. An iridescent finish over the plate gives it a beautiful rainbow color enhanced when reflected off light. There is a gold painted band around the edge of the plate (with some wear in the gold). The underside rim is polished, indicative of quality from this era.
