Circa 1930's McKee & Bros. Glass Co. Jadite water server with original spout and round Jadite lid. This piece has embossed vertical ribbing on all 4 sides. The previous owner was very proud of this piece and added adhesive lettering "WATER" to the front - this is not original to the server. These letters can easily be removed if you prefer - I will leave as found. The lid dimensions are 4-3/4" in diameter on the outer edge and 3-3/4" in diameter on the inside rim that neatly fits over the servers opening. The server is rectangular and basically round cornered at outer edges. It measures 10-1/4" (L) x 5" (W) x 5" (Deep). The inside opening has very minor roughness but otherwise the server and lid have no chips or cracks - pretty amazing considering use and age. The metal spigot shows a little wear and gasket is aged and cracked - guess they didn't use silicone lubricant. You will appreciate this early example of Jadite Kitchenware.
