Circa 1940's featured is an Anchor Hocking or Fire King Banded or specifically Three Bands Jadite vegetable bowl. The Banded pattern was produced with one, two and three bands depending on the piece and is considered rare or scarce depending on the piece. The featured vegetable bowl is Jadite in color and has three bands that run along the outer rim of the bowl. The base is marked "Oven, Fire King, Ware, Made in U.S.A." This is a scarce piece whereas other pieces in this pattern are rare. The measurements are 8-3/16" (W) at outer rim, 2-5/8" (Deep) and 3-7/8" (W) at the foot. The bowls condition is excellent without chips or cracks and very faint scratching from use if any. The Jadite color is translucent at the outer rim around the bands and becomes more opaque as you move down to the bowl's center. What an exceptional example of Fire King.
