Circa 1937 - 1940 this is a simple, early pattern called Spool and with the very clean simple lines looks very Mid-Century. The set consists of a round Cigarette holder with a lid and 2 round ashtrays (probably 3 at one time). All fit snugly into a handled Ormolu gold colored metal holder. The cigarette holder is 3.25” (H) with the lid, 2-1/8” (W) at the rim and 2-5/8” (W) a the polished round base. The ashtrays are 3.25” (W) at the rim and 7/8” (H). Each has some shelf wear beneath but no chips, cracks or repairs. The cigarette holder has a tiny nick on the polished base beneath but no other chips or cracks & no repairs. There is a little mold roughness on inner side of the rim but no chips. An unusual set in a neat Ormolu holder. The Ormolu holder has no cracks, breaks or repairs - it’s intact with good color. (D-88)
