Circa 1930’s - 1940’s the “Chanticleer” pattern was used on a limited number of glass Barware items, Tumblers & vases. It also came in colors and with & without opalescence. Today this pattern exemplifies the period right after Prohibition when Barware became vogue - this piece is decorated/embossed with roosters (cocks) and rushes in the background and was normally used to mix cocktails. The shaker is approximately 9” (H) with lid, 3-3/4” (W) at the rim and 2-7/8” (W) at the foot. With the exception of mold marks and occasional bubbles (all normal production flaws) it is in perfect condition without chips, cracks, repairs & staining. The metal lid is in great shape as well - no rust, dents & little wear and fits well - not too tight. (D-69)
