Circa 1929 - 1932 this is a very Scarce Depression Glass Green Dogwood pitcher with a vertical optic produced by the Macbeth-Evans glass company. The pattern is also known as “Apple Blossom” and “Wild Rose”. The green color is absolutely beautiful and glows brightly under a black light. The pitcher holds approximately 80 Ounces and is 7.75” (H), 5” (W) at the rim, has a green handle attached and 5” (W) at the flat round base. It is in excellent shape only a couple of tiny 1/16” nicks or flakes at the rim which was probably caused by removal from the mold and the fact it wasn’t re-fired or polished. These are totally unnoticeable since below the base - otherwise no other chips, cracks or internal staining or repairs - really looks like it was treasured and seldom or never used. (221)
