This is a very fine Antique porcelain from the Qing Dynasty of China circa 1850. Showing a superb floral pattern that symbolizes fortune and good luck, this superb piece was decorated in an under-glazed blue pigment and then the floral painting would have been very artistically hand applied. Showing a spontaneous, naturalistic style these designs were most often taken from the ancients, and are known as "Oriental Blue and White Porcelain". Borders of thin lines incised near the top and "foot rims" or bases were characteristic features. An antique treasure worthy of a special place in your home.
