A beautiful old Grosvenor China bone china tea cup and saucer set. The pattern is named “Rutland” (green) number 8761.
Grosvenor China came from Jackson & Gosling Ltd. (1866-1961) at Grosvenor Works in Longton, Staffordshire England.
The cup is footed. The sets pattern features green scaled panels with scrolling beneath that forms into alternated cameos of birds and flower bouquets.
It’s a colorful and interesting pattern.
The condition is very good with the glazing intact. There are no issues such as chips or cracks. Under the cup foot on one side there is a section of fine crackling under the glaze (see 4th picture). It is normal for this to occur eventually in old china. This is the only place where any crackling was found.
