Small things can still be great. This pin is just 1.75 inches at the widest part but is elegant in style. It features antiqued gold tone plating with a foliate design and small clear rhinestones. It was made by the 1928 Jewelry Company, Burbank, CA. They have produced since about 1968 and are known for the most charming Victorian revival jewelry pieces. I like to collect it.
Using the wide loop at the bottom of this pin one could slide a necklace chain through that loop. Then it can be turned upside down to use as a necklace pendant. The back of it has the company’s signature swirl pattern engraved into it. This is how to identify this company’s pieces for their earlier creations. Later, they used a metal hang tag that is signed with the company name.
It measures 1.75 inches by 1.75 inches and is in excellent condition.
