An enchanting mid century Coro jewelry set of a necklace, brooch pin and clip earrings. Circa 1950's. This is hard to find in such excellent condition as this set is. The design is a lovely branch and ribbon motif with detailed antique gold tone plating. There are simulated baroque pearl embellishments. These are sometimes also referred to as baby tooth pearls. The multicolored rhinestones are clear and bright and include a variety of pretty colors. The pearls are all in excellent condition as well. The earrings and brooch are signed as Coro in script on the backs.
The earrings measure 1.25 by 0.75 inches and the brooch is 2.25 inches. The components and plating are in excellent condition. The necklace is 17.75 inches.
The set is featured on page 29 in Julia C. Carroll's book Costume Jewelry 101 with peach colored pearls. The earrings with the brooch are featured on page 30 with white pearls. The same earrings can be found in Judith Miller's Costume Jewelry Collector's Guide book page 71 with red rhinestones instead.
