19th c. French alabaster sculpture entitled "Tireur d'Epine" or "Boy with Thorn", after the Greco-Roman Hellenistic bronze sculpture of a boy removing a thorn from the sole of his foot. Circa 1880-1900. The sculpture rests on an one inch tall alabaster base that had been cracked in half and repaired. 20"h x 11w x 11"d. Base: 11" diameter. Weight: 53lbs.
